This post mix is a proportioned blend of cement, aggregate and sand designed for setting fence posts and letterboxes.

How does it work?

  • This mix maintains position of fence posts while setting to reduce the need for additional structural support

How to Use / Application

Concrete post mix is poured into a prepared hole around the base of a fence post to create a solid foundation. Simply dig the post hole to the required depth, place your post, and fill the hole with concrete mix. Allow to set as recommended before attaching rails or fencing mesh. This product works with timber, steel and chainwire posts and is suitable for sloping or uneven ground too.

Is it easy to use?

Here is a brief overview of use:
Pre-wet the post hole, position and support the post, then mix the post mix with water (do not over-water) and place it evenly into the hole, tamping to compact the concrete.
Leave the supports in place for around 24 hours while the concrete sets, keep the concrete moist for several days during curing, and avoid mixing or placing concrete in extreme temperatures below 5°C or above 35°C.

How long does concrete post mix take to set?

The concrete will set in approximately 24 hours. Leave post supports in place until the concrete has set.
The concrete will cure over several days. Keep the concrete moist for several days by lightly watering to ensure proper curing.

How many bags do I need for a fence project?

The amount of bags you need for a fence project depends on how long the fence is being built.
As a basic guide, one cubic metre of mixed concrete will require approximately 102 x 20kg bags.
