These galvanised chainwire X fittings are heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant steel connectors used to join chainwire fencing rails and posts in perimeter, boundary, security and sports fencing systems.

Designed to fit standard nominal bore (NB) posts and rails, the X fitting provides a secure junction point for horizontal and diagonal rails in tensioned chainwire mesh fences.

The galvanised finish protects the fitting from rust, making it suitable for outdoor, coastal and rural environments. Ideal for DIY installers, builders and fencing contractors.

Is it easy to install?

Chain wire fencing requires a bit of know-how and practice. It is possible to do-it-yourself however if you’re just starting out with fencing or doing just a small home project, we would recommend checking out our aluminium fencing range which is more straightforward and simple to install.

Do you have other colours available?

Yes, we have a powder-coated black X fitting available.
Our chain wire fencing supplies also come in black powder coated galvanised steel.
Dark green PVC coated chainwire is also an option. Please get in contact if you would like to order this (or any other custom colours) and we’ll do our best to get them for you!

What size X fitting do I need for my chainwire fence?

There are 2 parts of the X fitting. The butt (or branch) and the thru (or main/vertical). The fitting name indicates the pipe sizes that it fits. The first 2 numbers are the butt and the last 2 numbers are the thru.

E.g. In an X3250 fence fitting, the 32 refers to the horizontal butt pipe, and the 50 refers to the thru (or main/vertical) pipe.
